Real wages in Ukraine almost 15% up in July y-o-y

Real wages in Ukraine in July 2016 grew by 14.8% year-over-year, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

Real wages in July 2016 from June 2016 were 0.9% up, it said.

The average monthly nominal wage of a full-time employee in Ukraine in July increased by 0.7% from June, to UAH 5,374 (about US$215). It is 3.7 times higher than the minimum wage in Ukraine, set at UAH 1,450 (about $58).

The highest average salaries in July were recorded in air transportation (UAH 25,200, or $1,008), finance and insurance (UAH 10,400, or $416), and telecoms (UAH 9,200, or $368).

The statistical data does not include reports from temporarily occupied areas in Crimea and Donbas.
