Cost savings due to the launch of the ProZorro electronic public procurement system, which is mandatory for use by all public agencies from August 1, have amounted to UAH 4 billion, according to the system's website.
The number of tenders handled via the system was 208,000, the number of organizers of trading reached 11,170, with the average number of bids per tender being 2.61.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the ProZorro electronic procurement system has become mandatory for use by all state-owned companies and government agencies since August 1, when carrying out procurement of goods for the amount exceeding UAH 200,000 and that of work – over UAH 1.5 million.

The use of ProZorro is expected to help save about UAH 5 billion by the end of 2016 and another UAH 50 billion in 2017.
