Deputy PM Rozenko: No gas price hikes in Ukraine in 2017

Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Pavlo Rozenko has stated the Ukrainian government has managed to stabilize a situation in the housing and utility services sector, which will help avoid a sharp rise in gas prices next year.

"We have managed to stabilize the situation. The current price of gas is economically reasonable, so we do not expect an upsurge in gas prices in 2017," Rozenko told Ukrainian Espreso.tv.

The growth in tariffs has a direct impact on an upward inflation trajectory in the country, he said.

In particular, Rozenko forecasts that inflation will not exceed 8% in 2017.
