Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman says a task to double economic growth in Ukraine within a year can be achieved, provided further industrial development and the transition to the innovation and technology-based economy.
"We have great potential. We expect a 3% growth, but it can be doubled. We can give an impulse to the development of production and stop being an economy which supplies raw materials, as it is now," the prime minister said at a government meeting, noting the need to establish the National Industrial Recovery Committee.

Ukraine's industrial output in August 2016 grew by 3.4% year-over-year, after a 0.2% decrease recorded a month before, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
