The new Reform Support Team (Office) at the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which was set up under the auspices of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine, will be chaired by Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Oleksandr Saenko.
"The office will consist of 18 people, who will be responsible for specific areas. We have previously discussed the possibility of dividing it into three pillars … Why is it so important? In order to avoid the lack of coherence between the Secretariat and the Reform Office," Saenko said while presenting the mechanism of work of the new team.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the Reform Support Office will focus on facilitating the transformation of governance within the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, and the Ministry of Infrastructure. In the future, the activities of the Reform Support Team may be expanded to deal with other ministries and local authorities. The Team's priority is to improve public administration both in individual sectors and across the country.
