An agricultural company in Ternopil region has been charged with tax evasion for the amount of over UAH 3 million, according to the press service of the regional prosecutor's office.
It has been established that in the period of 2015-2016, the agricultural company has been cultivating crops in the territory of Ternopil region without properly reflecting the data in its tax statements.
The company has reportedly evaded payment of value added tax for the amount of over UAH 3 million.
As part of criminal proceedings, inspection of land plots has been conducted, which are used by the company in its economic activity, and the premises have been searched where the harvest is being stored. Documents about the company's financial and economic activity, agricultural machinery and the harvested crop have been confiscated.
A court has ordered the seizure of property confiscated during the searches, as was reported. Criminal proceedings were initiated under Part 3 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine on charges of large-scale tax evasion.
According to unofficial data, the company referred to in the report is agricultural company Mriya.
