State-owned Centrenergo posts UAH 1 bln profit over 9 mths

The state-owned power generating company Centrenergo in January-September 2016 received UAH 1.022 billion net profit, while in the same period last year, the company reported a loss of UAH 81.8 million, according to the information disclosure system of the National Commission on Securities and Stock Market.

Net income from sales amounted to UAH 7.619 billion over nine months of this year, which is 63% more than the figure in the same period last year.

At the same time, gross profit for the reporting period amounted to UAH 1.1 billion, whereas in the first 9 months of 2015, it amounted to only UAH 27.3 million.

UNIAN memo. Centrenergo is a power generating company with an installed capacity of 7.6 GW. Power generation companies are the following thermal power stations: Tripilska (Kyiv region), Zmiyivska (Kharkiv region) and Vuhlehirska (Donetsk region). The power generation stations include 23 power units, of which 18 run on pulverized coal, and five – on gas-oil fuel. The state share in the company's ownership is 78.3%.
