Transit shipments of Russian gas via Ukraine to the European Union (EU) in January-October 2016 increased by 20% year-on-year to 65.3 billion cubic meters (bcm), according to Ukrtransgaz, operator of the country's gas transportation system.
Transit supplies of Russian gas via Ukraine in October amounted to 8 bcm.
As UNIAN reported earlier, transit supplies of Russian gas through Ukraine to the EU in 2014 decreased by 29.1% to 59.4 bcm compared with 2013, and increased by 8% in 2015 to 67.1 bcm in comparison with 2014.
