"We support the modernization project of Ukrainian railways, and it is a very important infrastructure project for us. Support for the project of building hydroelectric power plants is also a project that makes our country energy-independent, so we also pay much attention to that. Separately, I would like to emphasize that we are ready to sign off projects on higher education, improving energy efficiency. I think what we will modify the details and will be ready to sign," he said.

Groysman also noted that cooperation with the EIB would allow implementation of concrete projects supported by the EU that demonstrate a real positive effect of European integration.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the European Investment Bank (EIB) is lending EUR 200 million to Ukraine's Transport Ministry to support sustainable municipal transport through a modal shift from road to electric transport and more efficient operation of existing public transport systems in 20 municipalities across Ukraine.

As of today, the total portfolio of EIB projects in Ukraine is more than EUR 4 billion.
