Bill being drafted to put Ukraine in TOP-30 of Doing Business ranking – Nefyodov

The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine has prepared a comprehensive draft law on deregulation of business, which would allow Ukraine to improve its ranking in the World Bank's Doing Business up at least 40 spots and secure its position in TOP 30 countries-participants of the rating in 2018, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Maksym Nefyodov said during a Cabinet meeting.

According to him, the bill represents two directions of the decisions – long-term steps, requiring long time for their implementation, and solutions that can be brought to life in the near future. The decisions relate to the key areas of the business – from construction to IT, as well as the issues of the introduction of the trust deed institute in Ukraine, improvements in the observance of the rights of minority shareholders, enhancement of the rights of creditors.

He also said that in the near future the document will pass an assessment of the expert community and public organizations. "And after a few weeks, we will submit the bill for the Cabinet approval and then to the parliament," Nefyodov added.
