EU's share in Ukrainian exports of agricultural products at about 32%

The share of the European market in the total volume of Ukrainian agri-exports amounts to some 32%, the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported, with reference to Deputy Minister Olha Trofimtseva.

"The European Union is the second largest trading partner of Ukraine in the field of agriculture. The share of EU countries in the regional agricultural trade structure is about 32%," Trofimtseva said.

According to the deputy minister, more than 78% of foreign investment flows into the Ukrainian agricultural sector from the EU.

The press service added that over the 10 months of this year, foreign trade turnover between Ukraine and the EU amounted to $4.9 billion, which is 8.7% more than in the same period last year. Ukrainian producers supplied the largest share of goods on the market in Spain (14.7%), Poland (14.3%), the Netherlands (13.9%), Italy (12.8%), and Germany (10.3%). Exports to the EU totaled $3.3 billion, while imports from the EU countries amounted to $1.6 billion.
