Growth of industrial output in Ukraine accelerates to 3.7% in Nov

Growth of industrial output in Ukraine in November 2016 accelerated to 3.7% year-over-year, after a 0.8% increase in October 2016 from October 2015, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

At the same time, Ukraine saw a 0.8% decrease in industrial production in November 2016 from October 2016 after a 5.7% increase in October 2016 from September 2016.

January through November 2016, industrial production in Ukraine grew by 2.1% year-over-year.

Read alsoGrowth of industrial production in Ukraine slows to 0.8% in OctThe State Statistics Service said that the largest increase in industrial production in January-November 2016 compared with the same period last year was recorded in the processing industry (by 3.4%) and in gas supply, electricity and steam generation (by 1.8%). However, the mining industry reported a 0.4% decline.

The State Statistics Service's reports do not include data from the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as occupied areas in Donbas.

As UNIAN reported earlier, industrial production growth in Ukraine accelerated to 13.4% in 2015 against 10.7% in 2014.
