Infrastructure minister wants to hear Ukrzaliznytsia management’s report as early as January

Omelyan noted that the ministry drew the attention of the management to the signals of the negative public reaction to the company performance. He said that sometimes Ukrzaliznytsia responds but sometimes it doesn't, Espreso TV reported. 

"I hope that we will hold a detailed debriefing, in particular on what is happening and what has happened since the team has been appointed in May 2016 . I would like to have this professional discussion held in January, because it is impossible to further delay it," said Omelyan.

Responding to a question on how he assesses the performance of company CEO Wojciech Balczun, he noted that he was dissatisfied.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Joint-Stock Company Ukrzaliznytsia [Ukrainian Railways] in 2016 reported UAH 303 million of net profit against UAH 16 billion net loss in 2015. At the end of last year, Ukrainian Railways has received UAH 78.9 billion revenues, while expenses amounted to UAH 78.6 billion.
