Indonesia regains its position of Ukraine's top palm oil supplier in MY 2016/17

Ukraine stepped up palm oil imports to 19 KMT in November 2016 against 17.7 KMT in October 2016 and 18.7 KMT in November 2015, BlackSeaGrain reported citing UkrAgroConsult.

Overall, palm oil imports to Ukraine totaled 54.6 KMT in the three months of 2016/17 (September-November), or up almost 12% from last year (48.8 KMT in September-November 2015/16), according to UkrAgroConsult.

The bulk of palm oil comes to Ukraine from the world’s top producers of this commodity – Malaysia and Indonesia.

For instance, in 2015/16, Malaysia was the leading supplier of palm oil to Ukraine, accounting for some 62% of its total imports.

This season (2016/17), an unprecedented percentage of palm oil imports – over 83% – are represented by deliveries from Indonesia, UkrAgroConsult writes.
