The National Bank of Ukraine on Friday evening strengthened the official hryvnia exchange rate by two kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 27.42 to the dollar.
The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for January 23:
$100 costs UAH 2,742.8490 (on January 20, it was UAH 2,744.2159);
EUR 100 costs UAH 2,916.1971 (on January 20, it was UAH 2,927.5295);
10 RUB costs UAH 4.5967 (on January 20, it was UAH 4.6236).

Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 29.11/29.28 while those against the Russian ruble settled at UAH 0.4613/0.4630.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 16:00 was UAH 27.4285 to the dollar, with 454 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $217.24 million.
