Naftogaz to buy 2.6 bcm of Ukraine-produced gas for households in 1Q 2017

National Joint Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine in the first quarter of 2017 will purchase from Ukraine’s gas producer Ukrgazvydobuvannia some 2.59 billion cubic meters of natural gas, according to Ukrgazvydobuvannia report in the disclosure database of the National Commission on Securities and Stock Market.

According to the report, the two companies concluded an additional agreement on the supply of natural gas in 2016 and January-March 2017, which provides for the supply of 15.594 bcm of gas worth a total  of UAH 61.585 billion.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrgazvydobuvannia in 2016 increased its gas sales to Naftogaz compared to 2015. In turn, Naftogaz sold the gas in question to the Ukrainian households (1.4%, or 13.002 bcm).

Read alsoUkrgazvydobuvannia sells 13 bcm of gas to households via Naftogaz in 2016In 2016, Ukrgazvydobuvannia increased gas production by 0.5% - up to 14.605 bcm, whereas in 2015 compared to 2014 the production decline was reported by 3.8% - down to 14.528 bcm.

Today, Ukrgazvydobuvannia implements the 20/20 program, which involves building up annual production volumes to the level of 20 bcm by 2020. The overall investment in the program is estimated at UAH 110 billion.
