National oil and gas holding Naftogaz of Ukraine from February 1 is set to increase the minimum prices of natural gas for industrial consumers by 22% compared with January 2017 – from UAH 7,551.6 per 1,000 cubic meters up to UAH 9,214.8 per 1,000 cubic meters, according to the company report.

At the same time, according to Naftogaz, the maximum gas price for industrial consumers on February 1 will be increased by 21% - up to UAH 10,141.2 per 1,000 cubic meters compared to the earlier UAH 8,374.8 per 1,000 cubic meters in January.

As noted in the company report, price offers are differentiated depending on the volume of purchases, payment terms, and conditions of previous calculations.

If the buyer has no debt before Naftogaz, or if they purchase no less than 50 million cubic meters of gas per month, the minimum price of fuel is set for such partners. In all other cases, a higher price will be applied.

All prices are inclusive of VAT and transportation tariffs for gas transmission and distribution across pipelines.

As UNIAN reported earlier, a new law on the natural gas market came into force in Ukraine on October 1, 2015. The new legislation deprived the National Commission on Energy and Utility Regulations of the right to set gas prices for industrial consumers.

In January 2017, Naftogaz has reduced the minimum prices for natural gas for industrial consumers by 3% compared to December 2016, to UAH 7, 551.6 per 1,000 cubic meters, as well as the maximum price - by 2.4%, to 8,374.8 per 1,000 cubic meters.
