Finance Ministry to submit draft law on financial police to Cabinet Feb 1 – Danyliuk

The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine will submit a bill on the establishment of the Financial Investigation Service, accumulating the functions of the tax police and law enforcement bodies' economic units, at the next Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, February 1, Ukrainian Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk told Hromadske TV.

"I am submitting the bill. It is already in the Cabinet of Ministers. Next Wednesday, it will be submitted to a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. We will hold the debate there. I am sure that we will approve this bill and forward it to the Verkhovna Rada," he said.

According to Danyliuk, the adoption of the law will accelerate the reform of the State Fiscal Service and its transformation from a "repressive" authority into the customer service for taxpayers.
