Ukraine budget revenues grow by 15.3% in 2016 – NBU

Ukrainian budget revenues in 2016 amounted to UAH 616.275 billion, which was 15.3% up from UAH 534.650 billion in 2015, according to the data posted by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

Given the amended targets of the state budget for 2016, the annual rate of budget revenues turned out to be 1.4% higher than the planned figures, reaching UAH 607.966 billion, the NBU reports.

The revenues of the Ukrainian consolidated budget stood at UAH 782.749 billion in 2016, which was 20% up from UAH 652.031 billion in 2015.

Given the NBU's estimates of Ukraine's nominal GDP for 2016 at the level of UAH 2.358 trillion, the annual budget deficit accounted for 3% of GDP.

The deficit of the Ukrainian consolidated budget totaled UAH 54.683 billion in 2016, which was 1.8 times more than the deficit in 2015.

The state budget of Ukraine for 2016 anticipated revenues at the level of UAH 607.966 billion, expenses –  at UAH 681.461 billion, deficit ceiling – at UAH 83.694 billion, the ceiling of public and publicly guaranteed debt – at UAH 1.946 trillion.
