Rail line broken between Avdiyivka coking plant and Ukraine-controlled territory

Director of Avdiyivka coking plant Musa Magomedov late Tuesday reported the damage of railway lines, which connect the plant with the Ukrainian-controlled territory.

"There is another problem – the only railway line, which we have from Avdiyivka toward 'mainland' [government-controlled] Ukraine, has been broken. I hope the repair crews will work quickly," he told 112 Ukraine TV channel.

If the militants start to adhere to a ceasefire, three to four days will be enough for the plant to launch its work in full swing, but it is not yet possible amid the shellings, the official said.

"We keep in touch with our colleagues from Zaporizhstal and Azovstal; they provide the necessary assistance, but, in fact, this is a real challenge for the company," Magomedov said.
