The nationalized PrivatBank has repaid refinancing loans of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) in the amount of UAH 2.385 billion along with a UAH 216 million interest, the press service of PrivatBank told UNIAN, with reference to Deputy Chairman of the Board Halyna Pakhachuk.
As of today, the outstanding refinancing balance amounts to UAH 15.516 billion.
According to the bank's data, since 2014, it has received NBU refinancing loans worth UAH 55.5 billion, of which it repaid UAH 41.1 billion and UAH 13.6 billion interest as of February 1, 2017.

The decision was made based on the results of the meeting of the National Security and Defense Council on the proposal of the National Bank of Ukraine.
For additional capitalization of PrivatBank, the government issued government bonds worth UAH 107 billion, while UAH 25.8 billion worth of bonds were bought out by the NBU in late December, and bonds worth UAH 1.4 billion in January 2017.
