Ukraine boosts coal consumption by almost 10% in 2016

In December 2016, Ukraine has burnt 3.1 million tonnes of coal, which is 22.3% more than in the same period of 2015, according to the country’s Ministry of Energy and Mines.

In 2016 Ukraine increased coal consumption by 9.4% compared with 2015, up to 31.3 million tonnes, according to the report.

The ministry says  in December 2016, Ukraine used up 3.1 million tonnes of coal, which is 22.3%  more than in the same period of 2015.
