The allocation by the European Union of EUR 600 million in macro-financial assistance for Ukraine is a sign of confidence in our country, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said on one of Ukrainian TV channels.
The decision on the allocation of the latest tranche was made during Groysman's visit to Brussels on Friday and announced by European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker.
"We agreed on the allocation of the tranche, which was supposed to be provided last year. I regard it as a step of confidence. We will get the assistance at the level of UAH 18 billion, which will go to the budget," Groysman said.
