Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers has decided at a special meeting to impose a state of emergency on the electricity market, which is designed to reduce consumption of anthracite coal Ukraine is short of.
"We will do everything – and now measures are being taken – to prevent or minimize any blackouts… We'll manage the power grids the way to reduce any negative aftermath for households in Ukraine," Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said at a Wednesday meeting.
