The program of a 15% compensation of the cost of Ukraine-made agricultural machinery for the Ukrainian farmers will be continued into 2018, Groysman said Friday during his visit to an agricultural exhibition in Kyiv.

"Agricultural engineering is of great importance for Ukraine. We want to develop the economy, but this would be impossible without the creation of high-quality competitive domestic products. Ukrainians today spend about UAH 10 billion for the purchase of various agricultural equipment, and of this sum only UAH 1.5 billion is spent on equipment, produced in Ukraine,” said the prime minister. “This year we are allocating UAH 550 million for a 15% refund of the purchase of Ukraine-produced equipment, which has a 60% localization of production.”

The prime minister added that the refunds will total approximately UAH 1 billion next year.

"Some 100,000 people are employed in this sector,” said Groysman.
