"If we compare VAT refund statistics, we could say it was UAH 68 billion in 2015, whereas the figure in 2016 was UAH 94 billion," State Treasury Service head Tetiana Sliuz told reporters on February 17.

The State Treasury in May 2014 began to publish VAT refund reports every month, providing data per each individual or legal entity.

Sliuz also emphasized that the largest share of VAT refunds had been recorded in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions, while the largest amounts of VAT reimbursement had been transferred to exporters.
