Energy regulator raises electricity tariffs from March 1

The National Energy and Utilities Regulation Commission (NEURC) is raising the price of electricity to UAH 0.90 / kWh (if consumption remains within 100 kWh per month) and UAH 1.68 / kWh (if the threshold is exceeded), in accordance with the previously adopted schedule.

The move was laid in a NEURC resolution passed late February 2015.

This is the fifth planned increase in electricity tariffs for the households.

Compared with April 2015, the electricity tariffs increased by 3.5 times.

According to the plan, tariffs were gradually lifted on April 1 and September 1, 2015, by an average of 45.2% and 23%, respectively.
