Banks owe UAH 71 bln on refinancing loans to NBU

The volume of debts of Ukrainian banks to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on refinancing loans issued amounted to UAH 70.917 billion as of March 1, 2017, which is 1.2% lower than the rate as of February 1, 2017.

According to the NBU, since the beginning of the year, in January-February, the volume of banks' debt to the regulator on refinancing decreased by 5.2%.

It is also reported that the volume of bank-bought deposit certificates of the NBU fell by 4.1% in February and by 14.5% -- since year-start, to UAH 58.314 billion.
