Ukraine reports improved consumer sentiment

The February index of consumer sentiment in Ukraine increased by 2.5 points, to 56.2, compared to January 2017, according to a research by GfK Ukraine.

At the same time, the index of expected economic development for this year increased by 1.6 points compared to January, amounting to 48, while the index of expected economic development over the next five years increased slightly – to 71.1.

The index of expected changes in personal financial situation increased by 4.4 points, to 59.7, while the index of expediency of significant purchases increased by 3.7 points, amounted to 59.5.

The index of inflationary expectations fell by 3.7 points, to 185.9.

As UNIAN reported, the consumer sentiment index in January 2017 decreased by 3.4 points compared to December 2016, down to 53.7. Basic inflation in Ukraine in January 2017 in annual terms, compared to February 2016, accelerated from 6.2% Jan to Jan to 6.6%.
