Groysman asks NBU to speed up discount rate lowering

"We believe that the National Bank of Ukraine should take more serious and significant steps to reduce the cost of lending to the economy of our country. We have repeatedly raised the issue before the National Bank," he said during the government's Q&A at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Friday.

Groysman noted that there was already a reduction in the discount rate, but not as significant as the government would like.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Groysman called on the National Bank of Ukraine to work out new approaches to lending to the economy and increasing lending to the private sector.
