Ukraine's local budgets to grow by 25% in 2017 – PM Groysman

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman says local budgets in Ukraine in 2017 will grow by 25%, but local authorities can independently ensure that budget payments exceed even increased plans.

"We envisage a 25% increase [in receipts of local budgets] for the year, but I am sure that this growth can be exceeded. It is necessary to independently organize work on the consolidation of tax payments to the local budgets in each region," he said at a meeting with heads of municipalities in Kyiv.

Groysman went on to say that the local authorities, thanks to decentralization, have received enough financial resources for the development of their regions, which need to be effectively used.
