Ukrainian agrarians have exported 33.35 million tonnes of grain since the beginning of 2016-2017 marketing year (MY) in July 2016, according to the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry's press service.
In particular, 14.53 million tonnes of wheat, 4.86 million tonnes of barley, 13.78 million tonnes of maize, and 4,300 tonnes of rye were exported from Ukraine.
Over the period under review, farmers shipped 272,200 tonnes of flour abroad: 271,100 tonnes of wheat flour and 1,100 tonnes of other types of flour.
Read alsoUkraine to boost maize output by 20%, exports by 12%As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian agrarians plan to sell 41.6 million tonnes of grain abroad, setting a record in 2016-2017 MY. The previous record was registered in 2015-2016 MY when grain exports stood at 39.4 million tonnes.
Ukraine gathered 65.95 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops in 2016, which was 9.7% up from 2015. It was also a record for the whole period of the country's independence, according to the State Statistics Service.
