Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has had a phone conversation with IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde to thank for her personal contribution to the positive decision on a new US$1 billion disbursement to Ukraine, according to the president's press service.
During the phone call, Poroshenko and Lagarde discussed the implementation of structural reforms, particularly the judicial one, the intensification of the fight against corruption and the fulfillment of the tax reform, the press service reported.
The IMF chief reiterated support of the Ukrainian authorities who aim to maintain macro-financial stability of the state and ensure further progress of Ukraine on the track of necessary reforms.
