Ukrainian banks' assets expand by almost UAH 29 bln in Feb

The assets of operating Ukrainian-based banks in February expanded by 2.4%, or UAH 28.693 billion, to UAH 1.241 trillion as of March 1, 2017, according to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

The data do not include the insolvent banks' records.

Since the beginning of the year, the operating banks' assets have decreased by 1.2%, or UAH 14.794 billion, the NBU said.

The NBU also reported that as of March 1, there were 93 licensed operating banks in Ukraine, including 38 banks with foreign capital.
