Ukraine's agricultural production declined by 0.8% in January-March 2017 year-over-year, according to the Ukrainian State Statistics Service.
In particular, agri-businesses reduced production by 0.8% over the period under review, while private farmers saw the output shrink by 0.9%.
Read alsoFAO predicts wheat yield in Ukraine will fall 4% in 2017The State Statistics Service noted that the data is given in comparable prices of the year 2010, it does not include reports from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, as well as the Anti-Terrorist Operation zone.
As UNIAN reported earlier, agricultural production in Ukraine grew by 6.1% in 2016 against 2015. In particular, agricultural enterprises boosted output by 9.8% in 2016 from 2015, while private farmers' output rose by 1.5%.
