Ukraine sees retail trade grow by 3.1% in first three months

Retail trade in Ukraine grew by 3.1% in January-March 2017 year-over-year (y-o-y), according to the Ukrainian State Statistics Service's website.

Retail turnover increased most in Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, and Chernihiv regions – by 7.6%, 7%, 6.2%, and 6.2%, respectively.

However, the service has not disclosed absolute values.

In 2016, retail trade in Ukraine rose by 3.7% from 2015 (in comparable prices), to UAH 1.159 trillion, or $43.1 billion, according to the State Statistics Service.
