Imports of cars to Ukraine rose by 1.5 times in February 2017 year-over-year to 8,500 units, according to the Ukravtoprom Association's press service.
In total, car imports to the country were estimated at $113.8 million for the period under review, the report said.
"The number of imported cars in February [2016] increased by 1.5 times y-o-y. At the same time, the average customs value of an imported vehicle fell by $2,400, to $13,400," the association said.

"In this case, unlike the situation with cars, the average customs value of one [commercial] vehicle increased from $12,000 to $17,000," the press service said in a statement.
As UNIAN reported earlier, cars imports to Ukraine soared by 85% in January 2017 y-o-y, to 6,701 cars, according to Ukravtoprom.
