Poland's LOT to launch flights between Lviv and Poznan on June 23

Poland's LOT Polish Airlines is to launch flights between the west Ukrainian city of Lviv and the Polish city of Poznan from June 23, according to Lviv's Danylo Halytsky international airport.

The flights will be carried out twice a week – on Tuesdays and Fridays. From October 2, 2017, the schedule will change for Mondays and Fridays.

Departure from Lviv will be at 04:15 a.m. local time, and departure from Poznan at 02:55 a.m. local time.

As UNIAN reported earlier, LOT Polish Airlines earlier announced plans to make its flights between Ukraine's Kharkiv and Poland's Warsaw more frequent – up to seven times a week.

UNIAN memo. Lviv's Danylo Halytsky international airport is the largest one in the west of Ukraine in terms of passenger traffic and routes. It serves 27 destinations – 24 international and three domestic ones.

It was renovated in 2011. A new terminal with an area of 48,000 square meters was built as part of the renovation. Its runway was also reconstructed. Currently, the airport is designed to handle aircraft of the following types: A, B, C and D (Boeing 767).
