Ukraine has launched a national tourist Internet portal, Zruchno.Travel, which is to integrate all the existing tourist facilities of the country; it has already the largest database of about 50,000 tourist sites, according to Chairman of the Board of Ukraine's Association of Hospitality Industry, the founder of Zruchno.Travel national portal Oleksandr Liev.
"This is a portal aimed primarily at Ukrainians ... this is the portal for facilitation of domestic tourism ... there are 50,000 [tourist] facilities on the portal today, the largest database in Ukraine," Liev said at a press conference, adding that it was also translated into English, but access to the English page is temporarily unavailable.
In addition, the database includes Crimean tourist attractions and the sites located in the occupied territory of Donbas. "They are included in the database, but since we do not recommend visiting these sites now, as the situation is insecure there, we have temporarily closed them down," he said.
Liev also said that besides the search for tourist facilities, the portal provides for a number of other opportunities. "Besides the huge database, there is the highlight of the portal – 52 Weekends. This means that every Tuesday, 52 times a year, we will prepare travel ideas for the users ... The regional and territorial communities are expected to administer the section "Destinations"... To this end, we are going to sign the relevant memoranda with 26 regions of Ukraine," he said.

"This is actually a social network service... our Ukrainian social network, users of which want to travel across Ukraine," Liev said.
As UNIAN reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine planned to create a tourist web portal Visit Ukraine in the fourth quarter of 2017 to provide reliable and up-to-date information about the tourism opportunities of Ukrainian regions and cities.
Moreover, it is planned to create by the end of 2017 an interactive database with information about Ukraine's tourist and recreational resources recommended and suitable for tourists, which will help to form a national network of tourist and routes for tours.
