Price for agriproducts up 11% since year-start

The average price for agricultural products set by Ukraine’s farmers in January-April 2017 increased by 11% compared to the same period in 2016, the State Statistics Service reports.

Prices for plant products in the reporting period rose by 8.5%, while those of livestock products went up by 23.4%, according to the report.

In April against March, agricultural products grew in price by 2.3%. In particular, crop production went up by 2.6%, while livestock products saw a 0.3% rise.

Compared to April 2016, average prices in April-2017 increased by 11.2%.

As UNIAN reported, the average prices for agricultural products set by Ukrainian farmers in 2016 increased by 9% compared to 2015.

Plant products went up by 16.3%, and livestock - by 1.7%.
