The ProZorro electronic public procurement system, which became mandatory for use by all public agencies from August 1, 2016, has allowed to save UAH 24 billion of budget funds during its operation, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said at the international forum in Kyiv, dedicated to public procurement.
"At the moment, ProZorro has already allowed saving some UAH 24 billion of budget funds. This is a huge amount of money," he said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the use of ProZorro electronic procurement system has become mandatory for all state-owned companies and government agencies since August 1, 2016, when carrying out procurement of goods for the amount exceeding UAH 200,000 and that of work – over UAH 1.5 million.
The Ukraine-developed ProZorro system earlier received a World Procurement Award in the Public Sector category.
