"Indicative figures, brought by the Ministry of Finance for January-May, amount to UAH 288 billion, and I assure you that they will be significantly overfulfilled," Prodan said.

“Receipts over the five months are expected to be at the level of UAH 300.3 billion, which is over UAH 65 billion, or 28%, more than in the same period of 2016," said the official.

According to Prodan, in May, more than UAH 65 billion will be transferred to the state budget.

The acting fiscal chief says the growth of tax revenues is connected with the increase of budget-forming taxes, such as the income tax, which gives grounds to assert the resumption of economic growth.

"In the first quarter, income tax payers declared a record amount of more than UAH 20 billion, which is 1.5 times more than in the same period of 2016," he said.
