Core inflation in Ukraine speeds up to 6.5% in May

Core inflation in Ukraine in May 2017 accelerated to 6.5% in annual terms – compared to May 2016 – against 6.3% in April 2017 from April 2016, according to Ukrainian State Statistics Service's website.

In May 2017, core inflation slowed to 0.3% compared to April 2017 against 0.6% in April 2017 from March 2017, the State Statistics Service said.

At the beginning of the year, compared to December 2016, core inflation was at 6.5%.

As UNIAN reported, inflation in Ukraine in May 2017 accelerated to 13.5% year-over-year, as well as speeded up to 1.3% from April 2017. Since the beginning of the year, consumer prices in Ukraine have grown by 6.2%
