Naftogaz boosts net profit by 60% in Q1 2017

Ukraine's largest state-owned energy holding Naftogaz of Ukraine boosted net profit by 60% in January-March 2017 (Q1) year-over-year, (y-o-y), according to a company announcement in the National Securities and Stock Market Commission's information disclosure system.

The company's net revenue from products sales in Q1 2017 was estimated at UAH 72.3 billion, or US$2.77 billion, which was 43.3% up against UAH 50.4 billion ($1.9 billion) y-o-y.

Naftogaz's gross profit over the period under review shrank by 41% y-o-y, to UAH 10.9 billion ($417 million).
