Ukraine's petrochemical plant Karpatnaftokhim has resumed operations after five years of downtime, according to the company's press service.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UAA1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In late April, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution that determined the plant's annual quotas for raw materials exports exempted from excise duty, that is 1.07 billion liters of liquefied gas, 1.17 billion liters of straight-run gasoline, and 985 million liters of diesel fuel, the press service reports.

The processing of each part of said volumes can ensure the output of 250,000 tonnes of ethylene per year.

At the same time, the choice of raw materials will depend on their conjuncture of mineral and commodity markets. In 2017, the main raw material used will be straight-run gasoline, at the same time the use of liquefied gas or diesel fuel is not being ruled out, the report said.

UNIAN memo. Karpatnaftokhim was established in the city of Kalush, Ivano-Frankivsk region, in 2004. The company is involved in production of chlorine, caustic soda, vinyl chloride, ethylene, polyethylene, and propylene.
