Ukraine pays $208.4 per 1,000 cubic meters of imported gas

The average customs value of imported natural gas for Ukraine in May 2017 was UAH 5,507, or US$208.4, per 1,000 cubic meters, according to Ukraine's Economic Development and Trade Ministry.

"The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine has calculated the average customs value of imported natural gas that was formed during customs clearance from May 1 to 31, 2017. It was UAH 5,506.82, or $208.38 per 1,000 cubic meters," the ministry said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the average customs value of imported natural gas for Ukraine in April 2017 was estimated at UAH 6,235, or $232 per 1,000 cubic meters.

Read alsoNaftogaz boosts net profit by 60% in Q1 2017Naftogaz CEO Andriy Kobolev earlier announced that the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce has ruled that the price of natural gas Ukraine bought from Russia's gas giant Gazprom at in 2011-2015 should be reviewed retroactively, and ordered that the review should cover the period starting from 2014.

He also said that the reviewed price is lower than the one Ukraine now imports gas at from the European Union.

Ukraine stopped importing gas from Russia in November 2015.
