The surplus of Ukraine's balance of payments soared by 25 times in January-May 2017 to $743 million compared to the same period of 2016 when it was $30 million, according to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
The surplus of the balance of payments in May 2017 alone was $357 million, the NBU said.
The current account deficit was $194 million in May and $1.065 billion in January-May 2017.
