Ukraine's State Fiscal Service (SFS) has announced it will return tax overpayments to enterprises whose assets are located in temporarily occupied areas in Donetsk and Luhansk regions in eastern Ukraine in keeping with court rulings only.
The SFS says it concerns only the enterprises whose overpayments are more than three years old.
Read alsoUkraine elaborates on taxes paid by occupied Donbas in 2016As UNIAN reported earlier, the State Fiscal Service has been developing a mechanism allowing the tax authorities to return corporate profit tax overpayments for previous periods to companies.
Corporate profit tax overpayments as of January 1, 2017, had amounted to UAH 18.3 billion, or US$703 million.
