Production of motor vehicles in Ukraine rose by 72.8% in January-June 2017 (H1) year-over-year (y-o-y), to 3,621 units, according to the Ukrautoprom Association.
In particular, production of passenger cars grew by 88.3%, to 3,078 units, while the output of commercial vehicles shrank by 49.3% y-o-y, to 206 units. At the same time, the number of buses produced over the period under review soared fivefold, to 337 units.
In June 2017 alone, Ukraine produced 835 vehicles, which was 95.1% up y-o-y and 15.7% more against May 2017.

Ukraine produced 67 buses in June 2017, which was 34% up from May 2017 and 11 times higher y-o-y, the report said
Moreover, 43 trucks were produced in June 2017, which was 4.3 times more than in May 2017, but 42.7% down y-o-y.
