Ukraine's Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan says Ukraine may create its own low-cost air carrier with the help of foreign investors, according to his interview with Segodnia.
Ukraine is opening its sky for low-cost air carries, but there is opposition from the Ukrainian monopoly, Omelyan told Segodnia.
"The creation of a new air carrier in the low-cost segment will change the situation. I hope we will register it in the fall. It will be a private investment: Ukraine's share is 51%, while that of foreigners is 49%. This is due to the fact that only companies with Ukrainian registration can perform domestic flights," Omelyan said.
